Petals & Roses

As a child my nickname was 'Petal', my favourite colour was pink and I used to have near-daily teaparties with doll's china and cupcakes. You can imagine my delight when I discovered the specialty boutique 'Petal Cupcakes' in Newmarket, Auckland!
Last Friday Minty and I decided we'd have a little tea party of our own, a grown up teaparty with Rosemount Ruby-O bubbles over ice and a Petal Cupcake to share...
Directions for the perfect Grown-up's Tea Party:
Step one: collect Tea party ingredients...

Step Two: be creative in photographic display of the tea party documentation...

Step three: Pour the Rosemount ruby-o over ice and make a toast 'Here's to all things pink, sweet and delicious!'

Step Four: slowly open the gift box to unveil the delightful treat!

Step Five: Slowly peel the wrapper away from the Tropical treasure... (mouth waters, have a sip of Rosemount...)

Step Six: Divide equally in two....

Step Seven: Quickly evaluate which half is larger before Minty notices....

Step Eight: The oh-so-important taste test (sometimes our work is incredibly testing)

Step Nine: Keep testing...

Step Ten: All done! Let the sugar and bubbles digest and admire the deliciousness that was...

Thank you to our lovely friends at Petal Cupcakes on Teed Street, Newmarket and Rosemount Ruby-O for the pink bubbles!
