Sean O'Brien aka Joe Blossom
Who are you and what do you do?
That's a question I find myself asking myself rather frequently. Can I give you an answer in 50 years time?

What gets you up in the morning?
A voice asking me "Who are you and what do you do?"

What inspires your work?
People inspire me. The kick I get out of playing live shows - nerves must inspires me. I'm usually curious about new things and using new things to revise my thinking on old things. Lance Ravenswood's artwork inspires me.

What is your most exciting achievement?
Well... in the past 12 months it'd have to be my beard. I didn't know I could grown one. And strangely it grows in this Errol Flynn/Robin Hood/Swashbuckling style where I don't have to shave and shape it. I just don't grown hair on those parts of me face. I suppose if you encountered me in the wild then that's what I'd look like.

Oh... and I guess the other exciting achievement has been completing the album Nocturnes and doing so with a bloody good group of collaborators. Everyone involved in the album made superb contributions... and that's inherently inspiring.

Tell us about your school ball outfit.
1st ball was the classic tuxedo with burgandy bow tie and cumberland. Classic.
2nd and 3rd year ball was me going opshop chic with assortments of various suits found. Ramshackle.

Make us a playlist of three songs you have on repeat at the moment...
Little Blu house - Unknown Mortal Orchestra
Summertime in England - Van Morrison
Here & Now - Terror of the Deep

All of these tracks have been whirling around in my mind for a month or two now.

Kate Goddard & Hayley Gray

Kate Goddard & Hayley Gray
who are you and what do you do?
we're a production duo called Brown Ted. Brown Ted is Hayley Gray & Kate Goddard. We make videos, put on gigs and throw parties. When we're not Brown Ted, Hayley works in production at Weta Workshop & Kate is an events manager.

What gets you up in the morning?
Lately it's been the sound of hammer and nails as our flatmate, Fish, has been building the set for our latest project, a music video for the Thomas Oliver Band. But coffee always helps too!

What inspires your work?
Music & mates. We're lucky enough to be surrounded by incredibly talented people from all walks of life. They constantly challenge and enrich our work.

What is your most exciting achievement?

Definitely our latest project, The Thomas Oliver Band's video for 'Bad Talkin' Man'. We think we nailed the brief; it's a sexy, playful song and we had fun with wind up toys, fashion and the band's gorgeous instruments to establish an enchanting and edgy narrative which builds to an epic, unexpected ending. The band, crew and actress, Renee Cataldo, were awesome to work with - it was such a fun shoot.

Tell us about your school ball dress:
Kate: I was lucky enough to wear a classic floral party dress with a big black bow and matching blue suede shoes... they're both still in my wardrobe!
Hayley: I wore a red latino dress I'd got while on an exchange in Brazil... it was based on a dress JLo wore at a concert!

Bon Iver - Perth. The new album is beautiful and this song is such triumphant introduction.
Dave Matthews Band - 'I Did It.' A killer song from one of our favourite bands.
The Thomas Oliver Band - 'Bad Talkin' Man'. We have been saturated in this song since we started working on the music video, but, funnily enough, we're still not sick of it!
